Crossing the Line by MA Comley – review.

Description

One terrifying ordeal too many…

A spate of burglaries cripples the city, putting the community and the police on high alert.

Despite dealing with a personal tragedy, DI Sara Ramsey is determined to end the perpetrator’s terrorising agenda, but it’s going to prove an impossible task as the criminal is far worse than any she’s ever encountered before.

Can she prevent the loss of yet more lives, and if so, at what cost to her personal life and her career?

About the author

M A Comley is a KINDLE UNLIMITED ALL-STAR author as well as being a New York Times, USA Today, Amazon Top 20 bestselling author, she has topped the book charts on iBooks as a top 5 bestselling and reached #2 bestselling author on Barnes and Noble. Over two and a half million copies sold world wide. She’s a British author who moved to France in 2002, and that’s when she turned her hobby into a career.

When she’s not writing crime novels as well as caring for her elderly mother, she’s either reading or going on long walks with her rescue pup Labrador, Dex.

My thoughts

The perp in this episode left my skin crawling. What an evil character! The author certainly put DI Ramsey through the wringer this time when she created this nasty antagonist. I enjoyed the investigation, the action, and the banter between Ramsey, Carla and Lorraine. I even chuckled while reading their shared scenes. And, I always look forward to catching up with Sara Ramsey’s home life.

I could easily picture the community setting. The chapters from the baddie’s point of view were spine-tingling scary and this insight gave them real depth. It was great to read another instalment involving the regular investigation team and I look forward to the next book in the series.

‘Crossing the Line,’ is another nail-biting crime winner. Fabulous read!

Thanks for reading!
