Description
DNA doesn’t lie.
Or does it?
Britney Sorenson had hers tested twice. Both times the results were the same.
Her mom and dad were not her parents and her birth mother was supposed to have died four years before Britney was born.
It is a mystery and Britney turns to Dean and Steph to try to solve it.

My thoughts
‘Little Girl Lost’ is the most recent book in the Steph and Dean series. You can read it as a stand-alone but I love the character development throughout the series. The first book is called ‘Guilty’ and it’s brilliant.
Let me start with what I think of the hook in the description. Fantastic! Who doesn’t want to find out what happened to Britney’s mum? I loved the tension that this book fed to me all the way through. The antagonist chapters were nail biting.
As always, I enjoyed the relationship between husband and wife investigators, Steph and Dean. I easily slipped into their world as they worked on the case in hand, as I have done with every book in this series. I loved the West Virginia/Ohio setting too.
This book is dark as in the nature of the crimes, and it’s really sinister. It will have your hair standing on end. The violence isn’t graphic or gratuitous, though, but it was still a hard read. I totally felt for the characters who’d suffered in this one. If you love a page turning crime thriller, then this is it!
Thanks for reading!
