My thoughts
This tense mystery delves into the strain on relationships after five-year-old, Adele, goes missing. After all, the situation that Martin and Deb find themselves in would definitely be every parents worst nightmare. An innocent day out ending in a child being taken is the catalyst for this book.
Every relationship was strained. The author takes us through the emotions; the helplessness and anger. I enjoyed the way the story concluded, finding that it left me satisfied. It had me guessing throughout and the theories I came up with weren’t even close. It’s great when the mystery remains throughout.
I also enjoyed the exploration of relationships when it came to Martin’s extended family. During such sad times, people often come together. She’s Gone is a nail biting mystery, one that will have you reading it at pace to find out who did it and why!
Thanks for reading!
