Push Back by James Marx – review.

Two dead cops and a missing student.

Police corruption and a past vendetta.

Retired Detective and ex-US Ranger Dean Riley is framed for these crimes and forced to go on the run.

Working outside the law in a race against time Riley has to call upon all his skills, training and determination to rescue his nephew and clear his name, culminating in a brutal and bloody showdown.

My thoughts

This book is an action-packed white knuckle ride. Starting with a bang, it doesn’t let go. Riley makes the perfect hero, chasing leads to find his missing nephew in a race against time to save his life while risking his own.

I loved the well researched USA setting, and Dean Riley’s Rangers backstory makes for an interesting character. Suitable for lovers of Lee Child books.

If you love a tense read with eek moments, then check out Push Back. It’s high octane and leaves you on the edge. Fast, furious and deadly!

Thanks for reading!
