MA Comley – The Murder Pact – review.

About

Another gripping instalment in this fast-paced thriller series from NY Times bestselling author who has sold over two and a half million copies worldwide.

A murderous act…

The last resort for some.

One determined detective with a battle on her hands to unravel the truth.

A shocking case, that is both perplexing and intriguing.

However, can uncovering a disturbing secret bring DI Sara Ramsey’s latest investigation to its astonishing conclusion?

My thoughts

The Dead Can’t Speak- #1 bestseller in Hard-boiled mysteries

Deluded – #1 bestseller in Hard-boiled mysteries

This book kicks off with a jaw dropping opening chapter that left me keen to read on at great speed. I think this is one of the darker books in the series and I loved it. It’s so sinister and thrilling at the same time.

One relationship I really enjoyed in this novel was that between DI Sara Ramsey and the Crime Scene Manager, Lorraine. I thought the banter was brilliant and witty. I love it when those two characters get together over a cadaver.

It’s also great to follow Sara’s life. The story wasn’t just about the crime, the main characters have stories too that act as lovely drivers through the series. If you’re looking for a thrilling, dark read, this is the one. Be warned, there are some very imaginative and gruesome murders in this book. As a crime fan, this was good for me – haha!
