My thoughts
This is a fast thrill of a novel!
As soon as younger sister Alissa is taken, the clock is ticking for older sister, Bree, to rescue her. From early on, it had me guessing as to who and why.
I loved how the author wove the family dynamics into the story. Children fearful of their father, an overworked mother and the creepy guy at the trailer park all added brilliantly to the tone of the book. As for story setting, fantastic – trailer park in America; family struggling to make ends meet. It all added to the tension.
If you’re looking for a young kickass lead, then Bree fulfils this brief. This is a pacy thriller that I’m sure most readers will fly through, as did I.
