Blood! by Jack Walsh

Description:

A senior police officer’s desperate battle to save a serial killer’s final victim.

My Thoughts:

This novel spans the best part of a century and begins with the brutal rape of a domestic employee early in the nineteenth century, sparking a chain of events that continue to baffle police for many years to come.

There was a huge element of surprise about a third of the way into the book. This story reveals a supernatural element which I won’t ruin by sharing. It’s a bloodthirsty tale but I guess that the title, Blood!, tells you that. It’s a dark, gothic story, that will certainly give you the creeps.

Best read with a light on and definitely not while you’re eating your dinner. Combined with a cast of well defined characters, this story is one to read if you’re after a scare!
