For Queen and Country by Derek Coleman.

Book description:

The four children of rich and powerful families were cruising around the Greek Isles. Now they’re missing but no ransom demand has been received. Were they abducted for money or is there a more sinister agency at work? The intelligence services of three countries have to race against time to find them before it’s too late.

My thoughts:

This book starts with a serious bang and it really doesn’t slow down after that. When four young adults are kidnapped off the Greek Isles, it is down to McCloud, John Bennet and Greek secret service agent, Thea to bring them home. I love that this book is set in Greece. The descriptions really made me feel as though I was there.

I also love the way Derek plays his characters. The chemistry between John and Thea makes this not only an action-packed read, but a fun read. I love a touch of romantic friction with my action. It’s basically fun and games for grown-ups. There are chases, fights, guns, and dangerous encounters at every turn. I love that Thea is not one to be messed with. She is one kick-ass agent.

If you love a rapid moving crime thriller where the clock is ticking and you don’t know who to trust, this is for you!
