Murder on the Marshes by Clare Chase.

A whopper of an opening that isn’t understood until much later had me turning the pages from the start. The mystery lures don’t end there, we feel the chill of a stalker and soon hear the news of a murder – that of young professor, Samantha Seabrook.

With a full ensemble of potential perpetrators, it falls to journalist Tara Thorpe and DI Garstin Blake to investigate the crime and they’re doing this against a ticking clock, following separate and joint leads.

This novel is a tense mystery that will have you turning the pages eagerly to find out who the killer is. With its climatic end, it’s one to read! What a fantastic first in this exciting new series.

Thank you for reading.
