Wetherspoons – bring back the avocado bagel!

My moan of the day! So long avocado bagel. 😕

Wetherspoons have scrapped the avocado bagel from their menu so I’ve just dropped them a message through their website. I’m not a strict vegan and class myself as more plant based but this breakfast is my favourite.
You can still buy avocado as a side and buy toast then make your own, but it’s not the same as you wouldn’t get the salad or guacamole. Just in case anyone else would like to join me in getting the avocado breakfast back, here’s the link and below is my message.

Hi,

I’ve been very impressed with Wetherspoons lately as it always offers a vegan option. You’re avocado bagels have made our breakfast experience a wonderful and regular one. But hence, the new menu! You offer vegans nothing but a bowl of fruit, the same as everyone else. (Boring – yawn). This is a plea to please bring back an avocado based breakfast such as avocado toast, avocado anything, especially with the guacamole.
We come in three times a week for breakfast and we have done for years and now all we can have is fruit! We’ll probably just have an occasional coffee now.

I just wanted to express my disappointment and look forward to your response. I will also be discussing this in the many vegan forums on FB as a lot of people in there champion your efforts and this particular breakfast.
Many thanks,

Carla.

Anyway, thanks for reading and have a lovely day.
Toodle pip,
Carla Kovach – author of The Next Girl. The number 1 iBooks bestseller.

The Next Girl

She thought he’d come to save her. She was wrong.

Deborah Jenkins pulls her coat around her as she sets out on her short walk home in the pouring rain. But she never makes it home that night. And she is never seen again …

Four years later, an abandoned baby girl is found wrapped in dirty rags on a doorstep. An anonymous phone call urges the police to run a DNA test on the baby. But nobody is prepared for the results.
The newborn belongs to Deborah. She’s still alive.

If you love Lisa Gardner, Patricia Gibney and Robert Bryndza, you’ll love this jaw-dropping new crime thriller from Carla Kovach. The Next Girl will keep you guessing until the very last page.
