Location, location and blood.

What an excellent couple of weeks it’s been for the team of Frank’s Calling. We have the excellent Cinelaya on board, who offer a suite of tools to assist filmmakers with the whole production process.

Amongst other things, we’ve sourced most of the costumes, arranged 2 locations and completed a primary blood spurt test. Scary it looked too! Our day of fun consisted of filling up a tube with fake blood (using Alex’s favourite recipe), fixing it to my neck and running through the stab action. It made a delightful mess everywhere. We had blood all over his kitchen, blood all over his towels and to top it all off, his dogs were going berserk.

As for locations, we’ve secured the use of the doorway to The Black Tap pub in Redditch, thanks to Grant – the owner. Great place to go for an on-site, brewed, ale. We’ve also secured a beautiful cobbled road in Wolverhampton, thanks to LJ. Loving the old fashioned lamps.

Onwards and upwards. The next thing we’re on the hunt for is a bathroom with a roll top bath. It’s all exciting stuff. I’ll keep you posted.

In case you weren’t aware, Frank’s Calling is the 2nd instalment of Penny for the Guy. If you missed episode one, take a look now. It’s all good fun.
