A NEW production by Redditch playwright Carla Buckley will be staged at the Norbury Theatre next Saturday (February 9).
The Birthday Present, which is being put on by local drama group Big Frog, centres around 48-year-old Edward who still lives with his mum.
Despite dating disasters, Edward is still determined not to live with his mother and does not want to be single.
So his well-meaning friend Rupert cunningly steps in by taking over his birthday plans.
That, unfortunately, leads to a string of ill thought out events that could culminate in the ruining of Edward’s chances with the woman he loves.
Performances take place at 2.30pm and 7.30pm and tickets are £6, with £1 of every one sold going to the Worcester Snozelen charity that runs a multi-sensory environment for people with severe learning difficulties.
The cause has been supported by the Bromsgrove and Droitwich Lions.
